The IP interface allows you to build applications and consoles directly into your system
High efficiency
The latest RF technology gives the SLR 5500 exceptionally good power efficiency. Together with its space-efficient 1U height and low thermal footprint, it gives you a very low cost of ownership.
The product has simple servicing requirements, with field-replaceable Power Amplifier, Power Supply and Modem modules. A front panel USB port allows easy configuration, with optional support for remote management. It also has built-in features such as a 3A battery charger, external alarm ports and an auxiliary power output to ease site installation.
The standard warranty is 2 years, and can be enhanced with Service from the Start: a full service support programme that protects your hardware investment with prioritised expert repair, proactive technical support, software updates and more.
Designed for the future
Motorola is committed to supporting you with even more sophisticated workforce communication solutions as your needs evolve, so the SLR 5500 is designed with the future in mind. Compared to first generation repeaters, it has 10x more processing power, 15x more memory and 125x more data storage. The architecture even has provision for expansion modules, should more functionality be required in the future.

SLR 8000 has a next-generation receiver design, with high sensitivity and improved noise blocking, so you can be confident of clear voice quality, even in the worst conditions.
High Performance
With its 100W transmitter output and high sensitivity receiver, the SLR 8000 Series delivers radio coverage to an enormous area. The efficient modular design only requires 2U of rack space, and has very low power consumption, yielding low cost of ownership. The SLR 8000 Series supports the full MOTOTRBO feature set and is compatible with all the MOTOTRBO system architectures. The IP interface allows you to build applications and consoles directly on your system.
Total Flexibility
The SLR 8000 Series can be customized to suit your operation. There are options for an internal preselector amplifier and antenna relay module, offering you a true one-box installation. You can also opt for an internal wireline card if you need tone control capabilities, four-wire audio and additional external inputs
Motorola has produced an answer to a problem, which has been troubling designers of networks for digital mobile radios. The solutions is as simple as the problem is basic and fundamental. Since simple solutions work better and tend to be cheaper to implement, we are quite thrilled at Danimex. You should be excited too.
THE PROBLEM
A VHF/UHF repeater will typically reach from 30 km to close to 100 km depending on geographic conditions.
However, portable or mobile radios in the field will only be able to maintain 2-way communication within their very limited broadcast range. With power limited to 5W, their reach is no match to that of a 100W repeater. Hence they need to stay close to base.
MOTOROLA'S SOLUTION
The solution is to pick up the transmission in the field and relay it to the main repeater.
This task is given to a secondary repeater, dispatched wisely close to the perimeter of the main repeater's reach. Acting as a satellite to the main repeater, it works in receive-only mode and forwards the signal by IP, which can be in the form of a fixed line or a PTP microwave connection.
In order to provide reasonable coverage within the transmission footprint of the main repeater, a number of satellite repeaters may work together as the extended "ears" of the main repeater.
THE VOTING PROCESS
The coverage of satellite repeaters may overlap. If there is overlap, the main repeater will receive a transmission from a portable or mobile radio via more than one satellite repeater simultaneously.
In this case, voting software imbedded in the mail repeater will decide which signal is best suited to be used. Hence the main computer is called a "Voting Computer", if fitted with this option.
To the personnel roaming the countryside, this will give them freedom to move across a much larger area than before - without losing radio contact.
Their handheld or vehicle mounted radios will act as if they were fitted with mighty 100w transmitters.
SCALABILITY
Digital voting is available in the following system configurations:
• Digital Conventional Single Site
• IP Site Connect (IPSC)
• Capacity Plus
• Linked Capacity Plus (LCP
Unlike traditional repeaters, the SLR 1000 is IP65-rated for dust and water protection, so you can deploy on campuses, in parking garages, and across other outdoor locations. The compact size gives you more installation options, such as mounting on walls or poles. And a low power, fanless design uses less space and energy, saving you money right from the start.
As your organization grows, the SLR 1000 can grow with it. It works with both conventional and trunking systems supporting voice and data, so moving to a bigger system won’t always require buying a bigger repeater.
- Indoor and outdoor use
- Compact, fanless design
- Ease of installation
- Reduced total cost of ownership
- Analogue/DMR compatible
- Expandable
HIGHLIGHTS
Wherever it’s deployed, put your maintenance and repair worries aside. The fanless design means less noise, less particulate intrusion, and fewer components—all while delivering more coverage.
Deploy in more places
The SLR 1000 makes it simple. With a compact design, you can mount it on walls or poles. And since the SLR 1000 doesn’t require cooling from HVAC, you have more placement options. All while eliminating the planning headaches and added costs that come with HVAC.
Cost-effective coverage
The SLR 1000 features a low power, fanless design, so it uses less energy and saves money. It also requires less space, which reduces site requirements and the costly permits that go along with them.
Want additional functionality with reduced infrastructure expenses?
Just add accessories such as a small mountable antenna, optional duplexer, or antenna switch for Extended Range Direct Mode.
Grows with you
If you’re simply using a conventional, radio-to-radio system, you can increase your voice coverage area without having to purchase more frequencies. Just deploy the SLR 1000 with Extended Range Direct Mode, and expand range without additional spending.
